Off My Rocker!

Today's world knocks me off my rocker!  Man, what we use to call the "good ole days," in my family seems to have totally disappeared into today's society, according to all the woes and negative reports everywhere.  We definitely live in a different world than when I was growing up, and my parents grew up.   (Can I get a hearty Amen!)

Evil seems to be present EVERYWHERE....in the world and IN THE CHURCH!  Yes, I said it.....with a heavy heart.  Christianity has also changed in our society.  No longer does the definition mean the same thing it did not many years ago.  Today, you can be, or do, or say anything you want to and still call yourself a Christian!  There seems to be no RESPECT for the price that CHRIST JESUS  paid for all of us on the Cross.  Christians today, can read the WORD and make it say whatever fits with their lifestyle.  All the social networking has produced a spirit of Schizophrenia and you can't tell the real from the unreal.  One day we are quoting scriptures and the next day we are calling someone out, or talking or sharing pictures, jokes, etc., that are definitely not the marks and traits of a God person............God's remnant cries out, "How long Lord?  Where are You, God in this evil society that we are living in today?"  The body of Christ is disjointed, and disunity is everywhere.  Ungodly men are in control and they act just as one would expect men to act without God's RESTRAINT.  It appears that God has disappeared from the earth! 

BUT THERE IS GOOD NEWS!  GOD IS IN CONTROL!  HE IS NOT ABSENT FROM THE WORLD SCENE!

He reassures us that there is a way to live in this day!  He describes it in the book of Habakkuk.  Habakkuk lived during one of Judah's most critical periods.  His country was a mess. Kinda like ours.  It seemed there was no hope! No Peace!  No Help anywhere but God reassures Habakkuk that He is well able to take care of evil in the day He lived.  His words to Habakkuk in chapter 2: 4 describe our HOPE, our PEACE in this day.  It is simply this:

Habakkuk 2:4 (NKJV)
^{Hab 4} "Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just [the righteous]* shall live by his faith. 

That word live means to stay alive, be preserved; to flourish, to enjoy life; to live in happiness; to breathe, be alive, be animated, recover health, live continuously.    The idea is to live and breathe.  Alot of references to this word live, living, contain the suggestion that this LIVING is the result of DOING THE RIGHT THING.

When we only see evil, something is wrong!  
When we only see the negatives around us, something is wrong!

FINAL WORDS:                 
Get a grip on Life and start LIVING the GOD WAY by DOING THE  RIGHT THINGS.
  
Let go of your hatred, jealousies, envies, and strife.
Release people by forgiving them of the offense they did to you.
Love instead of Hate!
Stand for RIGHT instead of INJUSTICE
Show UP and DO RIGHT!
