Something More!

     Something happened to me this morning upon rising from my bed.  My stomach was growling, so I assumed that it needed breakfast.  Went straight to the refrig and opened the door and starting looking for that "something" to eat for breakfast.  You know, when that "hunger" hits you.  As I stood in the doorway of the refrig it occurred to me that nothing that my eyes saw was what I wanted to eat.  It finally hit me to finally close the door after the buzzer started going off .  (laughter)  You have been been there and done that many times over the years just as myself.

     I did chose something and satisfied my hunger for the time being but walked away wanting that "something more."   The Lord began to speak to me about this hunger for food after  consuming a piece of cinnamon/raisin bread and a french vanilla protein shake.  You see, what I ate did not curb this desire for something more. 

     The Lord said to me,  "Was it enough??  I replied, "Yes, it was for the moment.  I will probably be hungry again soon and have to go back to the refrigerator and look again."  

      He replied, "I, the Lord God will fill you to complete fullness and to being overfull if you will have that insatiable desire for me. Not only will I fill you up to fullness but will cause an OVER-FLOWING of that fullness to be released to the hurting, to those in bondage.....to the sick, the blinded, the depressed, to those who are weary.  They will receive an OVER-FLOW out from YOUR  innermost being. (Say it with your name in YOUR)

     As soon as I heard His voice, I begin to say, "Yes Lord, I want More...more than I have now.  More than yesterday.  Give me Complete Fullness to being Overfull to Over-flowing!  

     So the question is:  What do you have a desire for more than the Father?  What do you want MORE of?  If your answer is not more of HIM, then you need to pray this prayer with me right now?
Just say it outloud!

"Jesus, I repent for desiring anything that does not lead to more of you.  I ask you to forgive me and to cleanse me from those desires that are material, and not deserving of having more of You!  

Hear my heart Lord as I fix my heart and mind on you and say, MORE LORD!  MORE OF YOU!  Give me Complete Fullness to being Overfull to Over-Flowing in Jesus Name...Amen! 

 

WHAT YOU SAY WITH YOUR MOUTH IS IMPORTANT!

    Through the years God has dealt with me about the words that come out of my mouth.  I can remember as a younger woman coming across the scripture in Matthew 12:37.  I love the way The Passion Bible reads: "  ³⁷ Your very words will be used as evidence against you, and your words will declare you either innocent or guilty.”  

     Wow!  Talking about knocking your socks off! Do you mean to tell me that the words I say out of my mouth can be used as evidence against myself and that the words will either declare me innocent or guilty?  That is pretty sobering when we stop to think about it.    Other passages of scriptures that began to show me about my words are:

James 3:5 says  "The tongue is a small thing, but  what enormous damage it can do."  

Proverbs 18:21  "Life and death are in the power of the tongue."  Say What????

Proverbs 15:4    "Gentle words brings life and health; a deceitful tongue crushes the Spirit." (NLT)

         
Proverbs 13:3     "Those who control their tongue will have a long life; opening your mouth can ruin everything."  (NLT)

1 Peter 3:10  "For, whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech."

     Take the time to do a study on the tongue 

and watch how scripture can change your life!

There are many lessons to learn about your words (tongue).  Here are some simple things to start making you aware of what you say with your mouth.
    
1.   Listen to the words that come out of your mouth.  It is important for you to know that you have a problem with your tongue and the kinds of words that are coming out.  My son several years ago really zapped me one day by saying to me, "Mom, when did you become so negative."  Those words pierced my heart and caused me to do an evaluation of what I was saying.  This mom began to listen to herself and how she was responding to remarks, and conversation with others.  Quickly I understood what he was saying to me.  It disgusted me when I turned on my listener and began to hear the words he was hearing.  Start today and pay attention to what you are saying!

2.  If they are negative, immediately repent, correct, apologize, and restate positive words for the negative.  The scriptures say that on the judgment day, the day we appear before God we will "give and account for every idle word that has been spoken." (Matthew 12:35-36)  Knowing that one day we will stand before God can make a huge difference in the words I speak today or tomorrow.

3. Make the words of your mouth bring life!  Now this is extremely important for every believer.  You say, "how do I bring life with my words?"  Okay, this is how!  You have a situation that looks impossible.  Normally, we grumble, fret, or worry about the outcome.  The Word of God says that you  have the power of life and death in your tongue so repent for the grumbling,  worrying, and fretting.  Exchange all that and begin to say what God says about your situation, whether is it cancer, a loved one dying, financial difficulties.   In other words make a possible confession of a negative situation.

Cancer = "I will  live and not die and declare the glory of the Lord"  Psalms 118:17  Cancer I curse you from the root and command you to die in the name of Jesus.  I will live and not die so I will be able to give God the glory.

Finances =  "My God will supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19   I speak to my finances and remind you that my God IS SUPPLYING ALL of my needs because my life is in alignment with the Word of God."

 

     Job 22:8 say that "You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will   shine on your ways.  (NASB)
 
     That means that when you begin to SAY (decree) with your mouth the upside of what is going on that God will establish it for you; and then light (solutions, strategies, etc) will come.

     The word "establish" in the Merriam Webster Online Dictionary is defined as: 

• to cause (someone or something) to be widely known and accepted. 
• to begin or create (something that is meant to last for a long time

  Making a right confession (saying the right thing) with you mouth (tongue) will begin to amaze you as the results of what you are saying begins to appear in your life.  Try it out!  

Pray this prayer with me:

Heavenly Father:  Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable in your sight O Lord my strength and deliverer."  Help me to become aware when I am speaking words that are negative which are destructive.  Make me aware of this so that I can began to change my surroundings, my situation, for the better.  In Jesus Name.  Amen!





 

 

Hearing Detailed Instruction!

Yesterday was a powerful day in the Lord for our church body! It is so rewarding when I can just sit down and watch the Lord work through His many, membered body the ecclesia.

The word He spoke to us was "Return to the Lord, Repent." The definition referred   was:    Have "a change in attitude and outlook, and to have a REVERSAL of thinking which would change one's life! (Jer. 3:7,11, 14; Mt. 3:1)

TRUE STORY: For many years in my home the coffee pot and cups have been on the right hand side of my kitchen sink.  The drinking glasses were  always on the left side in the cabinet. We built our home around 1978-79. When I wanted a cup of coffee, cups were right above the coffee pot on the right hand side.  Makes sense doesn’t it! (laughter)

Well, I had a brilliant idea to move the coffee pot to the left hand side of my sink which was a shorter counter space.  Bill and I began the process of switching sides, moving all the coffee cups and glasses (lol - 3shelves in each cabinet). 

            Coffee was made!  We just needed a coffee cup!  Without thinking guess which cabinet we reached into to get the cup!  Yes that is correct!  The cabinet that we had been trained to get a coffee cup from all of these years of it being in that location and position.  When we needed glasses for tea, etc., guess which cabinet we would reach into to get the glass?  Yes, you are right again! 

            For months, and even now, we still find ourselves almost reverting back to something we had done for years.  Laughter is like a medicine so we laugh a lot about it and remark about how ingrained that habit had been in our lives without us realizing that we had practiced it so long that it was automatic to which cabinet we went to for what we needed.

            Religion has placed everyone of us in this same box!  We do church and ministry using all the habitual things we have done in our past!  This must stop!  God has spoken a word to us that without a genuine Return to the Lord, without a daily repentance that causes us to have a REVERSAL OF THINKING THAT WILL CHANGE OUR LIVES, things will progress on as usual. 

            The heart of ministry is not creating events and activities because we are trying to fill a calendar or promote.  The God I read about is the God of Details.  All you have to do is read about Moses and the Israelites, and each servant leader of the Lord.  God issued Moses a call in Exodus, chapter 3, and gave Moses detail instructions on not only what he was called to do, but also how to proceed.  Moses’ part was to get into alignment and move as the Lord commanded.  Almost every leader in the Old & New Testament heard from God with detail instructions following.  (Genesis to Revelation; and pay attention to the detailed instructions given from God)

            Because we have been trained in the world and religious system, we automatically follow with certain habits and behavior.  In the house of the Lord we start with a prayer, 2 or 3 songs, receive offering, give commercials, have a good little word.  In the business world we know how to market what we want to present or accomplish or sell.   

            How can we know the Mind of the Lord if we have not even prayed into what he is called us to do?  How can we proceed on with the work of the Lord if we have not received the detail or instruction on what to do next?  We are not referring to how we have been trained religiously or in the business world.

            Religious protocols say if we are having a training we need to advertise and we need to charge a fee, send a letter out to all the churches, and oh this is a good idea.  But the question is:  “What does the Father say to do and then other questions as to What is our purpose for having this training?  Who are we attempting to reach with this training? 

            We are NOT SAYING that these things are bad or wrong.  We ARE SAYING that without the Word of the Lord in the details we will get it wrong! 

          Team Work involves Team Prayer and prophetic intercession.

As we begin to align and position ourselves with our calling then we need to pray into it and let God lead us and guide us. 

            Many years ago I was an organizer!  Bill & I owned two retail tire dealerships and one retread plant.  My job was everything that dealt with paperwork; accounts payables, accounts receivable, payroll, etc.  and training of office help.  It took organization to be able to handle all the areas that were under my supervision.  For our business it was important to stay on top of things.  (By the way we were the 2^nd largest dealer for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in the Southern Region)

            In the church I operated with the same mentality…..organize…have a guideline for everything that functioned.  As the IPHC MS State Women’s Director, organization again played an important role in what we accomplished.   Meetings and ministry events before my tenure totaled around 25-30 at the most at any given event. 

            The Lord gave me a vision (spoke to me) and showed me step by step how to accomplish His purpose.  It was not by how organized we were that caused WM to grow up to over 150 women comprised of ALL denomination, and cultures.   Organization and structure are good up to a point.

        What was it then?  Here are the steps for you!

1)   Only planning and moving as He spoke.  Not doing something just because it’s a good thing.     

2)   Allow the Spirit to move freely in every service

3)  Follow His detail instructions in that service or event above your programs, or organizational outline

         In this movement from religion to relationship; from the pastor to five fold; to becoming apostolic people there are major changes and mindsets that must be reversed in the way we do things.  

          The best thing I ever did as a leader in the Kingdom of God was learning "how to hear his Voice and follow His instruction."   Most of the time He would only give one instruction to begin with, but I was always amazed to see that obeying that one instruction lead to an unfolding of Holy Spirit movement in our meetings.
